I tried to upload an jaypeg from my computer I took this morning to post in my discussion earlier but got an error message. I think it may be that the image is too large. If you know what the size and type of image has to be to upload here let me know if you have time to reply. Thank you in advance.

I believe that the limit is 1 Mb, whereas a decent camera will take much larger images than that. I usually just resize them to around 1000 to 1200 pixels wide, will reduces the size vastly. You could even reduce it to around 600 pixels and still have very good quality. I am not sure what size is allowed in comments, but I tend to use about 250 pixels or less.

I resize all my pictures to document setting. That works for me. When I left them the size they were with my camera, they were way too big.

I think this is a trick by the camera people just so we will buy more memory chips.

@just4him I have found some methods to crop images but have not perfected it yet. I don't want to upload just any image. I know that image files take up space on a database.

@lookatdesktop I hope you're able to re-size it so you can post pics here.

Okay I will take note of that. Do .jpg images work well here? 800 x 800 pixels or less is a good thing. I will reduce an image to this format and see if I can upload it. Thanks.
