            I'm an oddball.
There was a time when I was rising so high up the corporate ladder and making more than I needed while laughing all the way to the bank.
Sadly, all that money robbed me of my soul.
So, I got out of the ratrace and decided to become a writer full time.
My savings got depleted within the first few months and I am struggling to make ends meet. But it's a happy struggle.
I'm hungry but happy at the same time that I don't have to deal with all of the negative things I had to contend with in the past and just do this.
I get up, tend to my garden, feed the cats and dogs, write, get out, do some more writing, drive the pickup truck and write some more before going to sleep.
I took the other path and I'm happier than most of my friends. They ask me how I manage to stay young and enthusiastic despite all the financial troubles they think I have, and I just ask them this question: "Would you consider going hungry just to follow your dreams?"
"would you?"

Surely I would though that hasn't happened to me and i finally reach my dreams without having to go hungry. But if i did, I wouldn't mind.

Well i am okay with what i have now. Being able to live a not so busy life, with a time to spend with the family and able to provide a bit for them
It has its ups and downs, there are times really that you have to let ends meet, sometimes your payroll is not just enough. So its a bit of a struggle here and there. But thats it.

If that is an alternative to attain a better life that provides more health and a well state of being, I would not hesitate to follow it.
