Would You Like Me?

People tend to be just a bit different online than they are off. I think, by different, I mean more comfortable with sharing their opinions or being who they truly want to be. If one were to meet another friend from online? I suppose it could go either way. One person might go back to acting as they do in real life, but they could also feel as if they need to somehow "Keep up appearances" so to speak. I hope this was clear enough to understand! haha. I know what I mean but am not sure that I conveyed it clear enough.

I've met one person that I knew on Bubblews, and she's exactly as I thought she would be - a lovely lady. I think character does show through the writing and we can get a good idea of whether we would like them in real life. And yes, I would like you.

There are a few that I would like on here if I met them in real life.

I think that if we relate well to each other here, meeting in real life would just be an extension of that. I met two online friends from the Triond site five years ago and had a wonderful day with them.

@cindiowens I do think you, @jhunt and I would definitely be friends in the real world. As for @RussTeed and I, we'd definitely be the modern Hatfield and McCoys.

I believe since I have met some people from online that there are some you will like and others not so much.

I'm pretty much the same in real life as I am here or anywhere on the internet.

I'm sure I'd like you if we met in real life. I like everybody. But admittedly, some folks are easier to warm up to than others. Some folks have personality traits that make approaching them somewhat difficult, but not impossible. You could probably find a fault with everybody that could be used as a reason to dislike them, if you looked. None of us are flawless. But we can all still like each other just the same. It's a choice. It's your choice. Good question!

I suspect that many of us would. I have met two different online writers now (one was Mary75 from here and HP and the B place, who visited a granddaughter here last year, then went bac to FLA and suffered a stroke) and a guy named Javaman who now lives about 100 miles from here. He and I had lunch a while back and talk on the phone sometimes.

I believe I would like my lot friends in person as much as I do on the computer. Like you said, probably some more than others but I would still like them all. Have a blessed day

There are friends here on mylot that keep in touch with me through emails and messenger apps. Though we haven't met in person, we are planning to and I think we'll like each other more.
