Arash Markazi reported the news on Tuesday that former Memphis Grizzles forward Jeff Green will be the starting forward for the Los Angeles Clippers in Game Five of the first round of the National Basketball Association Playoffs that will be played on Wednesday at the Staples Arena in Los Angeles California. Green will replace forward Blake Grifffin who has an injury to his left quad that was injured during the fourth game of the playoffs on Monday night. The Portland Trail Blazers won the fourth game of the best of seven series by a final score of 98-84 in Portland. The Clippers will have Austin Rivers replace Chris Paul as the starting point guard in Game Five of the playoffs since Paul broke his right hand on Monday during the loss to the Trail Blazers on Monday night. The loss of Paul and Griffin will make it tougher for the Clippers to win the first round of the playoffs against the Trail Blazers without their two star players in the lineup who are not expected to return for the rest of the playoffs this year.
