Bombay chutney, nobody can give as how the chutney has got this name. This chutney is very simple to prepare when the fridge is empty of Veggies and can be served conveniently for flat-breads (chapatis, Rotis), and poories (Indian breakfast). It takes just 10 minutes for preparation. Take a basin of the 1/4th cup and add water and prepare a nice paste. Heat oil of desired quantity and heat it mixing mustard seeds and Urad dal till there is crackle Add Ginger -Garlic paste, Green chillis (2 nos), sliced onions, curry leaves and fry them all till onions turn into light brown. Add tomato pieces and fry until they become pulpy. Now add a small amount of Turmeric, Red Chillis and Garam Masala and 3 cups of water and boil it for 8 minutes. Add salt and mixed basen and slowly stirr the entire mixture. Your Bombay chutney is ready now and garnish it with Coriander. Even adding 2 pieces of potatoes and 2 carrot pieces will enrich the taste of this chutney.
