Tired of Being Dragged

It's been fun for a few weeks. But being dragged everywhere by my brother seems to be getting me out of track already. I need to earn money for my kids. I'm not comfortable having to ask money from someone as I've been supporting myself and my kids eversince. I don't want to be dependent with anyone. Sure, it's been nice to get free dinners outside and all the outdoor activities we had making it like an endless summer. Free shopping and groceries are also great. But in the end, we have to face it. I have to make it on my own and I'm already getting annoyed being spoonfed with everything we need. Yeah, now I sounded like a spoiled brat needing my freedom.

I am sure your brother knows your grateful for everything he has done. I would just talk to him and let him know that your so grateful for it all but you do want to be able to provide for yourself and your family.

I guess. But these things can be a sensitive topic. I guess it's our culture. But I'll try to nicely inform him about it.

You're doing the best you can and there's nothing wrong with wanting to be independent. Wanting to earn money to support your family is great. Getting some help isn't a bad thing as long as we're trying to help ourselves. That's what counts.

It seems that my brother has a tendency of just wanting to spoonfeed me. It's OK if I'm not capable of working for myself but I've been independent for so long I'm not used to being spoiled anymore.
