How Important Is It To You?

C.S. Lewis said, and I quote: “Christianity, if FALSE, is of no importance, and if TRUE, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
I have to agree with that, especially based on something that Jesus said at Revelation 3:15, 16. He said: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or else hot. So, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth.”
Have you ever read the account about Elijah at Mount Carmel? He challenged 450 prophets of Baal. It’s one of my favorite accounts in the Bible, because it proved that Jehovah is the true God.
You can read the account at 1 Kings 18:18-40, but what Elijah said at verse 21 is very interesting. He said to the people: “How long will you be limping upon two different opinions? If Jehovah is the true God, go following him, but if Baal is, go following him.”
So then, Elijah offered the test, to see which God would respond and the result overwhelmingly proved that Jehovah is the true God, while the false god did not respond at all.
It’s like that today. God has given all mankind a choice to serve him or NOT. Each person has to make up their own mind what they will believe, but they better base their beliefs on something solid. For me, that is the Bible. I have studied it thoroughly and have learned to trust the true God. The Bible gives HOPE for the future, while those who do not believe, have no hope past their short life on earth.
The Bible promises a “new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness will dwell.” The earth will be cleansed of all wickedness and restored to a paradise of peace and beauty.
The wicked people will be gone (Psalms 37:9-11) and God will turn his attention to the earth and there will be many blessings for those who have hoped in HIM. (Revelation 21:3, 4
The truth of the matter there is no allowance for “limping on two opinions” or “sitting on the fence” and waiting to see what will transpire.
If a person loves God and believes what the Bible says, that person has to choose NOW, before it is too late. The Almighty God is offering LIFE or DEATH. We, as individuals have to choose, one or the other.

As important to me is nature as the wisdom of God. We've experienced that man's deeds are leading nowhere but destruction. With a promise of renewal and new paradise, I choose to follow that which promises new things to the things that do not work in the present.

And what is "that which promises new things to the things that do not work in the present?" What exactly promises new things?
