A very special song from a very special movie. The song Kitni Baatein seeps through the heart without making any noise. A very rare song where all the communication, emotions , feelings and expressions take place through eyes. A situational song where the actor( Hrithik) and the actress (Preity Zinta) are meeting after long time and both of them have lots to say to each other, both are trying to ask lot of questions through each others eyes. There is certain subtleness in the way they are looking at each other and trying to convey the pain and the feeling of loss flowing through the unseen tears in their eyes. The song has great depth and the lyrics convey the meaning so beautifully as it says that both of us have questions in our hearts, but still we are silent and still we have no answers and we dont know who is responsible for this situation and we dont know where it will lead. Some beautiful words from Javed Akhtar and very calm and serene feel to music by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. To convey such complex emotions only through eyes and facial expressions, needed a matured and crafted actors and Hrithik and Preity were perfect to add that touch to this song. I have always felt that Hrithik Roshan is the best actor in the country right now when it comes to expressing through eyes. His eyes speak a lot and compliments so well in intense roles.Legendary singer Hariharan and Sadhna Sargam had sung the songs with heart and it reflects when we hear the song. Lakshya is a cult movie in Indian cinema which will belong to the category of great movies that were box office failures. This song is still very popular and reminds us of era which is not too past, where the songs had a lot of soul and content.
