Scott Pianowski of Yahoo Sports reported the news on Thursday the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have placed their closer right handed relief pitcher Huston Street on the 15 day disabled list on Thursday which is retroactive to April 24, 2016 with a strain of his left oblique. Street will likely be on the shelf for at least one month due to his latest injury. The silver lining in the dark cloud that Street should be able to return to pitch for the Angels before the start of the month of June. Street felt pain in his left side on Wednesday during the warming up period in the bullpen area. Joe Smith will be the closer for the Angels during the absence of Street from his closing duties. The Angels are expected to make a roster change of Friday since they will be needing a replacement player on their team while Street mends from his latest injury.

This is crushing. He's on my fantasy team! The Angels have a great back up in Joe Smith to close so they should hopefully weather this though it severely weakens the pitching scheme.
