Our dreams and what have become of them?

When I was younger I always wanted to make a difference.
I wanted to join a cause that will change society - no matter how difficult, no matter where and even without pay - i'd do it and I'd be happy.
Now that I'm older I realized that we somehow need to put our dreams aside because of needs that has to be prioritized and the only difference we can make is a mere ripple to the vast ocean of people and events we encounter every day.
Adult life is never easy but I can't say I have already given up. I actually am still aiming to make a difference perhaps not as bold as I thought before but with just a small act - i'll start with my family and hopefully, my influence will see it through the future.

I guess we were so brave and confident when we were younger and believe that we can do anything that's why we are so full of dreams. But as we grow old, we are faced with difficulties and there are times when we forget how we were before. But even so, it does not mean that we cannot hope or start fulfilling the dream again. It will never be too late and I hope that you will find the courage to continue dreaming and chasing the act to make a difference in society. Goodluck!
