Our dreams and what have become of them?

When I was younger I always wanted to make a difference. I wanted to join a cause that will change society - no matter how difficult, no matter where and even without pay - i'd do it and I'd be happy. Now that I'm older I realized that we somehow need to put our dreams aside because of needs that has to be prioritized and the only difference we can make is a mere ripple to the vast ocean of people and events we encounter every day. Adult life is never easy but I can't say I have already given up. I actually am still aiming to make a difference perhaps not as bold as I thought before but with just a small act - i'll start with my family and hopefully, my influence will see it through the future.

When we are young we are so idealistic, but as we grow and learn what "real life" is we do change.

Yeah, we still have our heads in the clouds back then. Imagination soaring high and that feeling of being able to conquer anything (I kinda miss that feeling).

I guess we were so brave and confident when we were younger and believe that we can do anything that's why we are so full of dreams. But as we grow old, we are faced with difficulties and there are times when we forget how we were before. But even so, it does not mean that we cannot hope or start fulfilling the dream again. It will never be too late and I hope that you will find the courage to continue dreaming and chasing the act to make a difference in society. Goodluck!

Wow! Those are really great words. Of course, I'm still trying to bring back the courage I had before.

In this point of my life, I had made a difference in helping people to cope up with disability. I had a mission in Central Asia and aimed to transfer my skills. It turned out to be successful.

We dream when young but as an adult we have to conform to society's norms and that means compromises! Then our family has to adapt too when we think out of the box - siva

sadly, yes.. I have to admit it is indeed a task to be ourselves and think only of our hopes and dreams because when it comes to reality; it always bites
