Random Word Post – conterminous

I find a random word by flipping through my 2003 The New Webster’s Concise Dictionary and write a quick – often silly – little post about it. # “conterminous – 1 Having a common boundary line. 2 Having the same boundaries.” Isn’t the idea of a boundary line being that it’s common? I mean, isn’t the US/Canada boundary/border the same, regardless of which direction you’re going?

With due respect, I want to clarify something. Is it conterminous or coterminous? Coterminous also has the same definition as above. I think they could be used interchangeably because they mean the same thing.

I just looked up coterminous in my dictionary and the definition it had was conterminous. So I guess they are the same.

@oneoveralpha Thank you for looking it up. Here in the Philippines, we often use coterminous. Hence, I thought of clarifying it with a native speaker like you. At least, I learned one word today and that is conterminous.
