ESPN.com reporter Adam Schefter reported the news on Sunday the Chicago Bears have released 33 year old safety Antrel Rolle.
Rolle had played in seven games for the Bears during the 2015 football season before he was placed on the injured reserved list on December 14, 2015. Rolle had an injury to his knee that ended his playing time with the Bears in the 2015 football season.
Rolle was a first round draft choice of the Arizona Cardinals in the 2005 National Football League Draft out of the University of Miami (Florida).
Rolle played safety for the Cardinals from 2005-2009, the New York Giants from 2010-2014 before he signed a three year deal with the Bears before the start of the 2015 football season.
The Bears decided to release Rolle since they will save $2.7 million dollars against the salary cap.
It remains to be seen if Rolle will land on his feet with another team in the National Football League before the start of the 2016 football season or he will be forced to retire.

Rolle may be at the end of the line at 33. Gonna be tough to latch onto a job competing against younger players.

You could be correct since Rolle is considered old by football standards.
