Family Gatherings.

I don't know if it's every family, just mine or just because with live smack dab in the middle of wine country but every family gathering always seems to have several different wines and a cheese plate. There is a fair amount of dairies around us so we can get certain cheeses right from the source. But no matter if it's a birthday or some obscure holiday the cheese plate is there with wines and some fresh fruit. This isn't a complaint. I love that my family can be this predictable. I've even contributed to the wine supply by bringing in a nice mead or some moscato. It's comforting, fun, and a bit fattening. Does anyone else have something nice like this happen when their families get together?
