Day 45
Psalm 45
Psalm 45:1 < My heart is indicting a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee forever.
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
6 Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: the scepter of thy kingdom is a right scepter.
7 Thou love righteousness, and hate wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
9 Kings’ daughters were among thy honorable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;
11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favor.
13 The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.
16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou may make princes in all the earth.
17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee forever and ever.
Wherever you live, whatever your culture, nothing compares to a wedding. Great care is taken prior to the most important day in a young woman’s life. Her dress is the finest she can find. Her hair and makeup are done to perfection. Her perfume is perfect. Everything about her proclaims her love for the man she is about to marry.
Let us not forget the man, the groom. He also prepares for the day, making certain everything is in place for the moment when he sees his bride in all her beauty coming to him on her father’s arm.
As Christians, we are the bride of Christ. There will be a day of great rejoicing when all our preparation will be ended and we will be presented to our Groom in robes of righteousness. We will stand before him without spot or wrinkle, shining with the radiance of the sun. Our perfection will be complete.
Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thundering, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigns.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he said unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Our lives are a preparation for our marriage to the Lamb of God, Jesus our Savior. How we live our lives will give off an aroma that will be pleasing or not to those around us.
2 Corinthians 2:15 For we are unto God a sweet savor of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
16 To the one we are the savor of death unto death; and to the other the savor of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
How are your preparations coming along? Have you washed your garments in the blood of the Lamb? Are they spotless and without wrinkle? Are you ready for your marriage to the Lamb?
The psalmist described the preparations of the daughter of a king who would be bride to a king. Everything, right down to the ladies who would attend her were prepared for her big day. The groom also, the king, prepared himself for her. In showing his military strength, it showed he was prepared to take care of her no matter what came against her.
Jesus is our conquering King. He defeated Satan on the cross. He took the keys of hell, death, and the grave from him and set the captives free. He took care of everything so when we come to him as a bride to a groom, nothing will stand in the way, and the marriage will proceed without hindrance.
Is anything standing in your way? Jesus already took care of it. It is time to complete your preparations. The day is at hand when we will hear the cry – the Bridegroom comes.
Matthew 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go ye out to meet him.
Let’s pray: Father, let my life be a sweet aroma to you as I prepare myself for my marriage to the Lamb, Jesus my Savior. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

I´m not completely prepared; but I´m doing whatever it takes to be ready for when Jesus comes for the second time. There are some spots and wrinkles in my garments that need to be cleanned; however, I hope some day they will be cleaned completely.
