Cost of happiness

Is your happiness worth when it comes at a price of the happiness of your loved one's? Suppose you want to chase your dreams and do what makes you happy but your loved ones are unhappy(rather opposing) about your choice. Say for example you want to climb Mount Everest.Should you still pursue your dreams? More appropriately is it worth it?

It is always a compromise and we should own up to the choice we make. We have to try and convince those not with us but the final decision should be ours - siva

Agree with you: we only have one life to live and should live it according to our likes and dislikes.

Well I don't think anything can bring more happiness than the self-satisfaction.... so preference should be ourselves...sometime we have to go for our loved one's too....nothing can be done about that....

Talking about our dreams and talking to them about things in our minds always helps and most times people would understand if we have an open talking.

For me it is important to talk and convince your loved one's first before embarking into something that you think will make you happy. Sometimes we're blinded by what we want that we do not see or understand the people who loves us why they're reacting the way they are reacting. But in the end, the decision will still be up to you.
