The people that made me who I am today.

My grandma, Nanny, taught me manners and how to talk through things and use my words. She taught me how to make a good healthy chicken soup by making everything, even the stock, from scratch. She grew up with almost nothing with twelve siblings and got married to my Papa, raising five children and going to college to become a nurse. My other Gran. My Nana. She encouraged my creativity and always saved things for me. If I wanted to learn things she'd clip the articles and save them for me. I looked forward to coming and being with her every morning before school. She is married to my Deeda who gave me a real love for numbers. My parents... My mom was a strong woman who taught me basic cooking and cleaning. I know how to do the laundry because of her. It's silly. She raised five kids through three divorces and always put us above herself. There's never a moment where I doubt that she loves me. A bit mushy... But it's almost mother's day so I hope everyone allows for it. My dad though. Because of him I can check the oil in the car, use power tools correctly, carve things out of wood, drive, and even shoot. He looks big and tough and I'm sure he would have been happy if there was another boy in the family, but he made sure that I can take good care of myself in critical situations. The point of this is that I love my family and without them I'd probably just be a lump on the sofa that did nothing but watch tv and use the computer. They've influenced me so much. If I tried to list it all here the article would never end. So now I get to the big question here... Who's shaped your life? Who paved the way to make you... you?

This is a very nice post about your family. :) I'm not sure who shapes me.I guess I have learned my strength through my mom and my optimism through my dad. I didn't grow up with other influences. I have an older brother, but we weren't close as kids. I guess my mom and dad were the biggest influence in my life.

I have three sisters and a brother, but I thought if I brought them up it would be another six paragraphs.

i look up to my dad more than anybody. he taught great values since i was a kid. i wish one thing when i get old, that i'll be as cool as he is now. i love my sister too. shes the most efficient person in this world for me. shes my rock and she taught a lot when i was growing up and didnt know how to deal with it. family indeed is love. no matter where i go, i know where my heart belongs.
