Normally I take my 3.5 year old with my in the morning to the bus stops but yesterday and today I left him at home. Since he has pneumonia I thought it is best to just level him sleep till he wakes up on his own. The doctor told me to let him sleep as much as he needs. So instead I left him by himself sleeping in his bed walked up the road with my daughter and 15 month old put her on the bus walked back home. He was still sleeping both days till after I got back home and didn't get up till it was almost 9am. I'm sure some mommy's would yell at me for doing that but it's either wake my sick child and make him more sick or let him sleep and heal.

I am a mom of 2 and I would not yell. I believe though yes it would have been better if there was someone else there but there was not and you made a good decision. There was no point in making him do that walk with you when he just slept right on through it and its not like it was that long of a time in between. I hope that your son gets to feeling better and that the added sleep will help him to recover!

OH yes that sleep was needed. He is much better now and was able to come with us this morning to the bus stop.

@crazzydolphin oh yes, because the next day he go up around 7:30 but his sister didn't go to school that day since her and her brothers had to go to the dentist so they got to sleep in til 8am if they wanted to.

Being a mom as well, I can understand. It may have been better if someone had been in the house, but for a few minutes, it may not be the end of the world. It's not like you left him alone for an hour, or more. Besides, if he's sick, it is best that he sleeps. I hope he feels better soon.

He is feeling much better now. His doctor gave him the all clear on Wednesday which is good thankfully.

I do not really know what to say but was there not so meone else in the house? You
left a small child alone in a house oh my what if the worst happened a fire broke out or anything where a person was needed to be with that little child.I have done the same thn years back and was scared sick that something bad could happen while my little gilrl wa alone n the apt. not a good idea really better if you had a t rusted fri end who could stay for a short time til you got back.

He was fine, he need his rest from having pneumonia and being outside isn't good for him. No, I do not have any friends to watch him.

He is a lot better now and he was able to go with me this morning to bring his sister to the school bus.

When I first started to read my reaction was OH NO,,, but I continued to read and you didn't leave him home alone but for a few minutes, If it were me with a sick child I would have done the same thing.

Thank you, he had pneumonia and his doctor did say to let him sleep as much as he need. Once we got to the bus her bus showed up a mount a later and I was back home way before he even woke back up.
