The New York Yankees who are currently in last place in the American League East Division with a record of eight wins and 16 losses have placed their designated hitter Alex Rodriguez on the 15 day disabled list with a strain of his right hamstring. Rodriguez injured his right hamstring on Tuesday evening during the fifth inning of the Yankees 4-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles in Baltimore. New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi called the injury to Rodriguez "definitely worrisome" which could mean that Rodriguez will probably not return to the team when his time on the disabled list has expired. The Yankees have called up from their AAA minor league team the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders left handed pitcher James Pazos to replace Rodriguez on their roster on Wednesday.

At 40, any moment could be A-Rod's last.
