Bates Motel (season 4)

I know I'm late watching Bates Motel. I didn't know it was back on for another season until a few weeks ago. Yesterday I just watched the season 4 premiere.
Side Note: I hate and like this show. I like the concept of Norman being teenager and finding out why he is so sick. But I hate the show because they don't keep in the era that it is supposed to be in. THERE WERE NO CELLPHONES BACK THEN. When the show first started, I told my mother about it and she also couldn't believe that. She says maybe they added cellphones to bring in teenagers.
Anyway, the season premiere was good minus the cellphones. That's terrible that Emma's mother is killed by Norman. Norma warned her.

I am up to date on the show so no spoilers. If they had done the series period appropriate to be in sync with the Hitchcock movie, it take place late 40s or in the 50s which would have been more interesting but costlier to produce and the sought after millennial audience can't cope watching a world without cells. The producers stated next season will be the final.
