Now thats a difficult question to awnser and i think only one will awnser it right who had got PC for free. Still you could win one through competition or something. But it sure will not make you happy.

sometimes schools give away the crappy ones, and that's pretty much all you'll get for free these days unless you're lucky enough to win a contest or the lottery

Contact companies in your area that may be upgrading their computers and you may be able to get one given to you or for a really cheap price.
