We had three yielding guava trees. One was red inside though small in size One was white inside and pretty large in size. The third one was seedless. For years we enjoyed them but probably because we did not care for them as we should really have, in later years, the trees started dying one by one. It is years now. We have planted new saplings but they refuse to yield. Probably they are angry because of the casual treatment we gave them. Could this be true?

Wow! I love guavas too. Especially those with pink seeds. This fruit is rich in vitamin C. As far as I know, guavas could grow and bear fruits even without proper care.It grows everywhere.

Initially they do need attention. Our new saplings have got all the attention and yet they have not started yielding.

@allknowing Maybe its not time yet for them to yield fruits. Just wait. You will just .be surprised one day when flowers began to appear. Sometimes it depends on the type or breed of fruits.

@magallon As I have said in my post we had trees that yielded quite early.

Guava is a common fruit here. But I seldom eat it. I like the fruit which is sweet and juicy much more.

No guavas at this latitude! But have they flowered yet? You could try feeding them with a high potash fertilizer (like tomato feed) to encourage flowering.

It's not true. Maybe you have to put more fertilizer on the the trees. Well, I love guavas for they are rich with vitamin C
