do zodiac signs really have a say on our personality ? i come across many posts stating about the behavior of an individual according to his/her zodiac sign. i wonder how can our date of birth decide our nature and behavior throughout our lives?

It doesn't. People just assume it to be. There are a few common traits that everyone possess and if statex, people think it's really about them!

They don't decide anything. They just give a general idea of that sign. And every person is different.

Our genes and our environment influence our personalities, and also how we are taught by our parents and others, and the friends we have also influence us. So how could stars that are millions of lightyears away from us have influence on our personalities? Even twins, who were born the same day, can be very different.

It just gives a generalized idea on person's nature and character through our DOB which according to astrologers determine the position of sun and moon with respect to other planets, which is then evaluated as per nature of each planet. It sounds too mathematical sometime if try to understand it.
