If You Are Married, Where Did You Go On Your Honeymoon?

And if you are not married, but plan to get married in the future, where would you LIKE to go on your honeymoon? I had a simple wedding and a very short honeymoon. One night at a hotel, about 30 miles from where I lived. Dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning in the hotel restaurant. Then, it was back to work on Monday morning. Later, we had a second honeymoon in Jamaica. And several more “honeymoons” in several different places. I guess I should call those “getaways,” instead of honeymoons. But, we always enjoyed them. The photo is me and my husband on our wedding day, with our respective mothers. My photo this time.

We are going to be getting married in July and we will be going to Ocean City for our honeymoon. My fiancé wanted to do a cruise but between prices, dates, and passport problems we couldn't.

Ocean City sounds exciting. I've never been there, but I've heard a lot about it. I hope you have a wonderful time.

That's a beautiful picture of you, your spouse and the moms. We had a wedding at the office of the Justice of Peace and went to my husbands home. That was our honeymoon but it was wonderful in spite of no honeymoon.

Thanks, about the picture. I did have a beautiful orchid on my dress and I still have those lavender gloves I had on in the picture. I saved them along with my fancy garter. By the way, my brother lives in Dublin, Georgia.

@IreneVincent that's nice to have the keepsakes. I don't have anything from my wedding but the memory.

Las Vegas is where a lot of people get married. I have been to Las Vegas three times. These were all FREE trips, provided by the company I worked for. Incentive trips for my sales. We stayed at the Luxor on one trip.

Only a one night honeymoon? Poor you. We went to the South of France for two weeks - lovely. That's a great photo.

We got married on a Friday afternoon and my husband had to go back to work Monday morning. We did spend the night in a hotel and had dinner and breakfast the next morning.

You looked so lovely. I did not have any honeymoon, worked till Friday,in the evening l flew out to Spain got married on Saturday and on Sunday l flew back alone to go back to work on Monday. This was because l did not have any day off.We usually get only 4 days off if you`re getting married but l did not want to ask for the days off since l had only worked there for a month.

Thanks for the compliment. Why did you go to Spain to get married? I've been to Spain. We stayed at a nice hotel on the coast. A town named Fuengirola. I may not have spelled that correctly. I can never remember exactly how to spell it. We took a bus trip to Seville. I've never seen so many Olive trees.

@miniam Oh, I see. Do the two of you live in Switzerland now, or Spain?
