Rusty Simmons who is the beat reporter for the defending National Basketball Association champions the Golden State Warriors said it is "doubtful" that Warriors guard Stephen Curry will be able to play in Game Three of the Western Conference Semi Final Playoff Game that will be held on Saturday evening in Portland Oregon. Curry is recovering from a strain on his right knee which has prevented him from joining his teammates in practice on Wednesday. Warriors coach Steve Kerr has serious doubts that Curry who wants to play in the third game of the playoffs but unless he gets a practice session with his teammates on Friday, he will likely sit out another basketball game. The Warriors have a two games to none lead over the Trail Blazers in the best of seven series. Smart money says sit out Curry for Game Three and wait and see if he can play in Game Four of the playoff series.

I know they are a great team, but it's got to be tough knowing that the best player in the league is on your bench in dress clothes.

Curry doesn't need to play this round. GSW are up 2 games to none over Portland and and can win the series without him. Best for him to rest and let that strain heel because he will have to play against the Spurs or OKC in the next round.

I know if I were Steve Kerr I would want Curry to be ready for the Western Conference Finals versus the Spurs or Thunder.
