One of my old science fiction – horror stories was accepted by an online journal recently. I was lucky to find the message that they accepted it in my junk mail today. I saw the themes they want writing about in the next issue and prepared a new story for that, on theme of Atmosphere. My story is inspired by a dreadful pop song called Atmosphere, by Russ Abbott – I have included the song here so you can see how bad it is.
I edited my recent Youtubes pages and shared links to them.
My mum was in a better mood today and we got food from a local take-away to save her cooking anything.
Arthur Chappell
Guaranteed to clear any party, this is "funnyman" Russ Abbot's attempt at music. It's enough to make you hunt him down.

Congratulations! I remember meeting a writer at an SF con and telling him how I had been surprised to find one of his stories in a magazine recently. He told me he had been too. He first discovered that it was being reprinted when he got the check in the mail!

@arthurchappell Oh, this was a "Big Name SF writer" but also a local Austinite, which is why he was at the con. Or maybe you've heard of Chad Oliver...

@ElicBxn I suspect a few of my stories and poems may be out there without me having any contact with them

@arthurchappell That is a rather pedantic differentiation.

I don't know. I don't think the song is all that bad. But then it is kind of reminiscent of the Monkeys and other bands of that era.
You'll have to tell me where I can find your work. I am a sci fi fanatic and would love to read it. If you can't say it out loud (in the discussion) and I'm pretty sure you can't, send me a PM.

@arthurchappell Well, then maybe he was trying to recreate their style.
