Pradip Kumar and Meena Kumari acted in historical films together, in roles where the actors belonged to the royal family. In those films they were unmatched. Some of the successful films included Bheegi Raat, Bahu Begum, Noorjahan, Aarti, Chitralekha to mention a few. Most of these films had power packed acting of Meena Kumari, Ashok Kumar and Pradeep Kumar. The outstanding music of Roshanlal Nagrath in these films also was added attraction. Rafisahab's brilliant songs like "dil jo na keh saka", "man re tu kahe na dheer dhare", "ab kya misal doon", "hum intezer karenge" were all masterpieces. The films were soft romantic in nature, and Meena Kumari and Pradip Kumar matched the royal dresses were during the period of kings, rulers and nawabs. These films had not lost their appeal even today.
