Im not good with kids and thats basically why I dont have my own yet. I get so overwhelmed with their noise. I cant stand it. I have my husband's niece and nephews here at home and their noise is just too much!! I cant even hear myself. They've invaded our room, our kitchen, our living room and now my desktop. I'm just using my tablet for now until my husband comes home from work.. Ive never been this overwhelmed in my entire life. I have low tolerance to noise and I cant concentrate. I wanted to write more but I have to check up on them once in a while..
I hope no one will jump out the window or set the house on fire :(

I understand you, but I can't help not to smile while reading your story.
My dearly beloved & I raised 6 kids. That was while we were both with employment to report to. We hired a yaya then. But, most of the time, it was either he or me who had to stay home to take care of the kids. Esp if one or more get sick.
Did I feel what you feel with those kids in your house? No. In fact, I became restless when I hear no noise. Usually, it signifies a health concern. I never liked it. I'd rather hear all those yelling & see all those running & jumping! The only time they stop is when eitheir their Dad or me say, "it's time for bed, kids!".
Look at them now..

you have a lovely family. I admire mothers actually because of your patience and generosity. I hope to be like you guys once I have my own "suplings" one day. And be able to see things your way. As for now, Im in a panic mode since I have 7 kids here under my supervision. the good thing about it is, they still listen after the nth time I say something and boy we had great lunch together and they all ate!! my husband always laugh at me when he sees me this way because he said he never get them to listen without one or two of them crying. My husban's a big guy so i can see why the kids are afraid of him. but i love all of them cause they make me laugh and although i get a bit annoyed cause im not good with kids, i still manage.. thank god

Sometime children can be really nuisance but other time they are such a cutie pie.....have fun with them....lol!

@slayer08 I love children. Bring them over to my house. When my nieces and nephews visit my place, I play with them.

like you, i don't like it when it gets to that level of i can't even hear myself think. hahaha!
it's good that they get to bond, since you said it's been awhile since they've seen each other.
since they're aged 6 to teenagers, then i'm sure the older ones can help you out.

we must also remember that once, we were kids, but maybe you were the very reserved kid that time.

Kids are known for their naughty nature
.I have a lot of pateince and like kids.Don't loose temper..enjoy with them.
