Are Air conditioners bad for health?

These days people dont have choices. In offices they sit in front of Air Conditioners for more than 10 to 12 hours.
But many people have complained that they are contract cold and flu frequently for being in front of ACs.
There are also cases of dry skins. People also complain of arthritis and bone paints for having body exposed to artificial temperature for hours.
Many people have breathing problems which are added by ACs.
Once people get too much used to AC when they are travelling in the road outside AC, they cannot adjust, they sweat too much and fall sick.

When I was living in Florida, I had to stay in the AC, because the outside made me sick. Now that I am in the mountains of Virginia, I have the windows open and the ceiling fan on.

Thanks Michelle for the comments. Yes weather sometimes compels to use AC.

@Chellezhere The worst is that each day's use of air conditioner creates additional breathing problems.
