2015 – Revolutions – Manchester Speculative Fiction Press Spoiler alerts As the end of the World is imminent, what should you do? Answer, enjoy a last illegal rave and cabaret show and where better than Tallulah’s, the last bar still open in Manchester’s gay Village district. Tallulah is seen preparing for the show and all set to belt out the gay anthem, I Am What I Am, from La Cage Au Folles for one last time. It is a great choice being the greatest song of proud self-identity since My Way. There isn’t much more to this, but it really evokes a sense of what a great way to go. The added Youtube is I Am What I Am performed by David Engel Arthur Chappell
Albin's Act I closing number from "La Cage aux Folles". David played Hanna from Hamburg in the original Broadway production of "La Cage".

I enjoyed La Cage aux Folles. Not sure if I ever saw the American version.

@TheHorse The Birdcage is actually a very good version - Gene Hackman is brilliant in it as is Robin Williams - the original French film and The Birdcage are non-musicals and well done though the musical is exceptional
