unexpectedly sleepy

For the past couple of weeks I've been having a mini battle with Sleep. He hasn't so much been creeping up on me as jumping in my face with a loud HA!!HA!!
I was in three different lessons yesterday and nearly fell asleep in all of them. In fact, I am absolutely and definitely positive that I had a micro nap, merely for a micro second. Later, on the bus, I slept solidly all the way from Place of the Huge Roundabout to the other side of Little city with a Mahoosive Church. I would have enjoyed a longer sleep, but I was rudely awakened by a young man positively screaming at someone on the phone. It appears they'd mislaid a bag, but then ten minutes of shouting later, the bag turned up.
I used to struggle with sleep, finding it as elusive as that bountiful pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But now, I struggle to stay awake.
I've been writing this sentence for about five minutes. I find my eyes drooping and my thoughts meandering away into the distance.
I need to sleep. I really, desperately, need to sleep. And I will, any second now.

It's an affair I wish I could finish! But Sleep is such a needy fool, always there, always wanting me ... !

@poppylicious That moment when you give yourself over to unconsciousness is so sweet. Right now id need some general anaesthetic to get me over.

I am seriously exhausted. I would happily pass it on to you if there was a magical way to do it! :)
