Freezers allow us to keep our food lasting longer than ever before. But have you ever wondered is there a difference between fresh and frozen produce in terms of nutrition which you should be eating? Some say that Frozen and Canned foods cause cancer. Which one do you consider the best and good for health Fresh or Frozen?

I think that fresh is better for you as they have to add things to the canned and the frozen foods. But not only that the fresh food tastes a lot better then all the rest.

@mypointsju Yes it really does and not sure why i would not think that they would add that much stuff to the frozen but still fresh is so better just does not last as long.

Hmm... If i see on the "better" term, fresh food of course become the winner, however for myself sometimes my tight schedule make me need to choose the frozen one :P

Canned food has definitely been linked to cancer. I've never came across anything when it comes to frozen food though. Frozen does loose some nutriton after being frozen for some time but is usually frozen at peak..so they say. If you are not going to be eating the food right away and it's perishable then the healthiest option would be frozen. And although there might only be water in canned food in the finished product, the good still goes through a process to preserve it while being in the can. The can itself would be more of what causes the cancer, even though most are made without BPA, there's still aluminum and those alloyed metals that's are coming in contact with your food and that "water".
