Tom Haudricourt who is the reporter of the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel on Thursday reported the good news that the team has activated from the 15 day disabled list second baseman Scooter Gennett.
Gennett was placed on the 15 day disabled list on April 28, 2016 with a strain of his right oblique.
Gennett had been playing baseball in a rehabilitation assignment for the Brevard County Manatees of the Florida State League which is the Class A team of the Brewers.
To make room for Gennett on the Brewers roster on Thursday the team demoted infielder Yadiel Rivera who had a batting average of .196 in 46 at bats with the Brewers during the 2016 baseball season.
Rivera will be playing baseball for the Colorado Sky Sox which is the AAA minor league team of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Gennett will replace second baseman Colin Walsh on Thursday when the Brewers will be hosting the San Diego Padres at Miller Park in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

It's still weird seeing Colorado Springs Sky Sox and Milwaukee Brewers in the same sentence.

It is weird to have the minor leagues nickname White Sox in Colorado Springs.

Isn't Scooter the greatest name for a ballplayer?

I do remember a former New York Yankees infielder who was nicknamed Scooter but I forgot his last name. I believe it was Rizzuto.
