Finally, the first rain for the year 2016 poured today in our place. It was just a 30 minute rain but it felt like more of blessings than wet. The first rain in our place was full of exciting just like the kids wanted to play underneath.
We have been in El Nino. The plants in the gardens are drying down. The water source is getting scarce. The dust is the enemy every home have to encounter. So, when the raindrops fall today, it was more of happiness than getting drown.
It is really the poem that it gives to us when the rain falls down for the first time.

Yes they did. It did way back in January. But there's this local wind called "kalbaishakhi" which blows in my region during this time. It's named after the calendar month of "boishakh". It's basically heavy rain along with a storm. We had one today morning. I sat by the window with my little cousin brother and had a nice time. Let's hope for more rain in your region and more happiness for you. :)
