A Virgin's Blouse

Since it is Friday the 13th, I thought I would look up superstitions. I found this website with some strange ones. If you want to guard your house from fire, bury a virgin's blouse in a jar in the garden. Another strange one includes kissing your elbow if you want to change genders. It sounds like the perfect solution to some of today's worrisome problems. If you want your child to be intelligent when he/she grows up, let his/her first haircut be done by an intelligent adult. Or better yet, marry an intelligent person.

I have heard of people shaving a baby's head at age two weeks. I never understood the reasoning behind that.

If you take a cotton dishrag and rub it on a wart, then bury it under your porch the wart will fall off. Eyes rolling on that one. LOL. I think that people have used a slice of potato too.

I always heard that it was a potato slice. I never heard the dishrag one before.
