I am thinking about a potato salad.

Yes. I´m a potato gal. I love cooked potatoes, roasted and baked potatoes, mashed potatoes. I love them in salads and puddings and in a shepherds pie. As I think about my birthday´s menu, I remember that all the time I have a big salad bowl filled with potato salad. Needless to say, the bowl is emptied very soon. Little by little I´ll begin to write down my needs so that I can make a list for the farmers market. But potatoes will be at the top of said list. What do you do as side dish for a cold buffet? Any ideas are welcome

I like potatoes but as I got older I would rather have sweet potatoes and sweet potatoes fries

@marguicha .fried sweet potatoes are really good. You can fry it plain and dip in sugar or fry it with sprinkled sugar

Coleslaw is another favorite of mine. And I can also have a big salad of that at my birthday. I like to add diced apples and raisins to it.

@marguicha I haven't tried mixing it with apple and raisins. I love it with crushed pineapple.
