I have been daydreaming what to buy at the farmers market.

This next month will be full of activities. I have to call my oncologist to get an appointment. And before I go, I have to get some blood tests done. That is not as simple as it sounds because, first of all, I have to go to the health insurance so that I pay less for my exams and the rest. That is a pain, but necessary. My eldest daughter´s birthday is in June, the week before mine. She wants a cotton undershirt and I will buy it near the hospital. Then, after I have my exams done and have eaten some sandwichs, I will go to the farmer´s market with Leticia to buy the meat for my birthday. June seems far away, but it is around the corner.

The months seem to be flying by this year. I hate the hassle of getting things done healthcare wise. I don't have insurnace, well eye doctor insurance but that's it. Growing up we had government assitance insurance and that was a hassle sometimes, just getting things done / finding a doctor who took the government assisted stuff!

In my country there are certain ailments that have special assistance from the government. One of them is cancer so I have aid for the oncologist and I had for the chemo.

@marguicha Here, there are certain things they just don't cover or if they do, it's finding a doctor to treat it who will take the government assistance insurance. Of course, I've not had government insurance in years, so things may have changed. I'm glad that they have special assistance for cancer patients, I'm not sure how it works over here.

Time flies so fast. Can't believe that May is flying by. I haven't been to a farmer's market in a long time. Maybe on my next weekend off I will go to our local one.

@marguicha I have heard that one of the farmers brings organic chicken, but it is quite pricey.

@ElusiveButterfly We can buy organic chicken at the super, but we´d have to win the lottery Another way is to go to the country and have luck. There you can buy organic chicken but they are usually tough so they have to be made into stews and the like.
