Jasmine flower is called Jui in Bengali and Juhi in hindi. It is found in Bengal, Orissa and other states in India.
It is a white flower with a sweet smell. Its scientific name is Jasminum Auriculatum.
It forms as a climbing bushy plant. The leaflets are small and colour of the leaves are dark green in colour.
In Kolkata, jui phool or juhi flower is also used to make garlands.
In Kolkata when people live in 1st floor or 2nd floor of flats, they dont have gardens to propagate these plants.
In potted plants, rearing the plant is difficult. It needs watering but not over watering. Very rarely it gets rain water. Powder fertilizer can be given every 10 days.
But the person succeeds in nurturing the plant, it gives many flowers and good fragrance.
