Bel phool is very popular in Kolkata. It is also called mogra flower in hindi. Its scientific name is Jasminum Sambac. It is found in West Bengal, Assam, many East Asian countries. It is used used for making garlands also. It is also used to make perfumes. It is a shrub and does not grow beyond 9 feet. But the trouble is when it is nurtured in a potted plant in a balcony or verandah of a house, there are chances of over-watering. The better fertility is there with the plant, the better quality of flowers will grow. The potted plant can be given water every day and fertilizer once in 15 days. If it grows then it will emit the good fragrance in the entire house.
