An email sent to me from an Amazon affiliate for a free 100 dollar gift card.

After taking the survey it tells me my email address is invalid. This is a falsehood. My email address must be valid because this is the location in my inbox of the alleged hoax of a survey for a fake 100 Amazon gift card. Now they have my PII Personal Identifiable Information. And it makes me wish I never did the stupid survey. I am getting to the point I don't even look at my email any more. I just scroll down and click DELETE ALL and empty the inbox ASAP. These email scammers that say you get something for nothing is the biggest freaking lie on the planet earth.

I am sorry to hear you came across a scam. What kind of personal info did they ask you?

@lookatdesktop ah seems like a lot of questions. When you those emails can you unsubscribe? Or maybe not open it at all like you mentioned just delete and trash. That's the thing I hate about surveys how do trust which one. There was one from Pizza Hut saying provide feedback for the online purchase and receive $10 Amazon. I took the email send searched it and Other people have received the same and it was legit so i did it. Plus the survey knew the store I went and what I bought / paid so it looked real. Luckily it was 2 weeks later or a week I got the code for amazon

@infatuatedbby I am happy for you in this matter. You know, the legitimate ones are okay it's just that the ones that are not often appear so.

@lookatdesktop How do you know when it is legit and when it is just a scam?

When it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

I get that all the time. A mailbox I have used everyday for years is marked invalid for offers or website registration. Why is it invalid? I get and send emails on a regular basis. I use Amazon and am always afraid I will delete something legitimate. I hate scammers.

Of course you can always ask customer support directly via the Amazon site and cut and paste a copy of an email sent to you in question for them to look at. It is wise.
