Where You Met

I'm single. However, if I'm going to follow in my parent's footsteps I know where I should be: church. My parents, grandparents, and sister and brother-in-law all met at church.
And my parents and sister were introduced to each other by the same person, decades apart! My sister and brother-in-law ended up playing a married couple in a church play.
Where did you meet your spouse or you boyfriend or girlfriend?

I'm not sure that I knew that you served in the armed forces, Valerie. Good for you and thank you for that.

I didn't realize you were old enough to be married already for twelve years, Jennifer.

Now that you mention it......I remember noticing my husband during church services, he was always watching me. But I didn't know him until about 8 years after that, he claimed that he knew me. He used to throw snowballs near me when I transferred buses at the end of the day. He was careful never to hit me. Talk about teenage awkwardness.

Who was putting that on, Marie? Was it something done by the city you lived in, or an organization or something like that?

We used to work together. We became good friends and were strictly friends for over a year. I was in another relationship when I met him.. that relationship ended about 5 months before I started dating him. That was 15 years ago.

Their destiny may or may not be your destiny. I do wonder where will you meet your partner too. Let us wait and see in God's perfect timing.
I met my boyfriend through a language site. I was studying Spanish online and he was studying English that time. He added me as one of his friends there wishing I could help him with his English. Later on, he asked me to add him on Skype and that was the starr of our online love story.

Although we didn't meet in a church per se, I believe that God did bring us together. I was back in my home town after traveling to several states and going where I believed God wanted me to be, and then I felt he wanted me back home again. After two years, he then brought my husband here also. We have our ups and downs, but after twenty-eight years we're still together, and still going to church.

I hate to say it, but a bar! Ok, that makes it sound worse than it really was.... I was waiting tables at a bar & grill (so it was a restaurant too... it didn't become bar-like until later at night). So I was working there & he lived right behind it. He would often come in to have dinner. And yes, he'd hang out there with friends during bar hours as well.
