The James Bond films were, at one time, the highest grossing movie franchise ever, until Harry Potter came along and topped it. Part of the appeal of a Bond movie is the theme song, from which there are 24 to choose (I'm only going with the movies made by EON Productions.) Hence, a new Top 10 series: Top 10 Favorite James Bond Themes. #10 is not, however, the official theme song from 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Louis Armstrong's "We Have all the Time in the World" is, however, more closely associated with the film than the self-titled instrumental used for the film's opening credits. The song was not a hit in 1969, but did see some chart action (#3) in the UK after a 1994 re-release. According to Wikipedia, Louis Armstrong did not play his trumpet on the tune (he was ill,) but his signature, gruff vocals were enough to make the song a Bond classic.
The love song composed by John Barry with lyrics from Hal David and the very last song Louis Armstrong recorded featured On Her Majesty's Secret Service Soun...

I have no recollection of this song. I saw On Her Majesty's Secret Secret just once as a child. This was the least successful of the franchise as George Lazenby stepping in for Sean Connery. Louis Armstrong and James Bond. An unlikely fascinating pairing. Oh I hope you don't pick Madonna in the countdown.

As a Bond film, I thought it was actually pretty good. Lazenby was ok, but I've read that he was quite the primadonna on the set and no one could stand him. An overall bad choice.

@teamfreak16 Lazenby was an Australian and his career never went anywhere.

@teamfreak16 yes his performance was good but he was dreadful to work with - it remains the closest Bond movie to the original novel source material

I really liked the opening theme from this movie. George was not my favourite Bond

I read that he only wanted to do the one movie. It have a feeling he wouldn't have been invited back anyway.

@teamfreak16 I've read that he and Diana Rigg didn't get on, but you hear a lot of stories like that

One series I don't think I could ever do, because I only like two Bond songs ("Goldfinger" and "Live and Let Die"). Another shocker: although I've seen Our Man Flint dozens of times (it was a spoof of Bond films) I've never seen a single James Bond movie all the way through. So sue me.

My girlfriend tolerated them at first, now she wants to see them in order.
