Today's Into the Groovy takes us to Hammersmith, England, birthplace of synthesizer master Gary Numan.
Although Numan has made some great music over the years ("Down in the Park" is my favorite,) he is best-known for his international Top 10 (#9 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 in multiple countries, including Canada and the UK,) "Cars," from his 1979 album The Pleasure Principle.
"Metal" was the B-Side of the US release of the "Cars," 45.
I contend that "Metal" was the better song. I've thought so since I was fifteen. I listened to "Metal" a lot more than I did "Cars." I even think it's The Pleasure Principle's best song.
Which makes it pretty Groovy in my book.

@teamfreak16 That may well explain it. Not so old after all!
