#9 in my Top 10 Favorite James Bond Themes series takes us back to 1967 for the fifth Bond film, You Only Live Twice.
Nancy Sinatra did the honors on the title song, which became an international hit, charting in five countries. It remains a Bond favorite to this day.
Perusing the "You Only Live Twice" Wikipedia page, I learned a couple of interesting facts that are new to me:
Frank Sinatra was the first choice for the song, but he suggested that his daughter do the theme instead. It also, apparently, took Nancy 30 takes before everyone was satisfied.
It all worked out perfectly. "You Only Live Twice" is a Bond classic, and more than worthy of it's #9 ranking in this series.

People forget Nancy was big in the 60s. I can't see Frank singing a Bond song! It's a good song and Nancy knew how to wear boots!

it is a great song - never knew Frank turned it down. Surprised he never did a Bond theme
