Portland Trail Blazers reach a contract agreement with coach Terry Stotts

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reported the news from Portland Oregon the Trail Blazers president of basketball operations Neil Olshey has reached a contract agreement with his basketball coach Terry Stotts. The details of the contract extension was not made public due to the team policy. Stotts was hired to succeed interim basketball coach Kaleb Canales who succeed Nate McMillan as the coach of the Trail Blazers on March 15, 2012. Stotts was hired to coach the Trail Blazers on August 7, 2012. Stotts has coached the Trail Blazers to three straight playoff appearances which was one of the reasons the Trail Blazers management decided to extend his contract on Tuesday.

Stotts was runner up in Coach of the Year and should have won in my opinion.

I agree with you since he did coach a full season while Kerr missed a handful of games due to his injury.
