In India taking a dip in Rivers and in Seas is not a new concept. According to Hindu Mythologies, all river beds are treated as the sacred places of Lord Shiva and all Sea-beds are the holy places of Lord Vishnu and taking a dip in rivers and seas is not only good for health but will purify one's soul and rejuvenates one for further life journey making it an ongoing process. Whatever may be the sayings about taking bath on these places a rational and scientific approach leads us to the following affirmations;
Swimming in sea water improves the immune system. The sea water contains many minerals, salts, vitamins, trace elements, that promote healthy immune system.One interesting fact is that the components of seawater are similar to human plasma and can be absorbed and utilized by the human body.
Swimming in the sea water opens the pores in the skin and allow the absorption of sea minerals at the same time expelling the disease-causing toxins from the body.
Swimming in the sea water improves the circulation of blood and restores the minerals depleted by the stress, a poor diet, and environmental poisons.
The warm water of the sea activates the healing mechanism to fight Asthma, arthritis, bronchitis, and other inflammatory disorders.
Taking a bath in sea cures many skin diseases and makes it more appealing and healthy. The salt solutions improves skin hydration and reduces skin inflammation symptoms like redness,and roughness.
