Trying to fight that sugary crave is nothing short of impossible

It has been said that sugary foods or junk food that is primarily another form of sugar and carbohydrates, are about as difficult to kick as a heroine drug addiction.
I came across a good article online today that sheds more light on this subject:
If you are like most people, you will never stop eating junk food until it kills you.
I have read in a book, back in the year 1969, that junk food is the main type of food that criminal minded persons consume, not because they are ignorant of the health benefits of a proper diet but that because of the addictive qualities of junk food and their ready access in most convenience and grocery stores and fast food restaurants.
Well? Is it any wonder that McDonald's continues to advertise? If a clown named Ronald McDonald can enjoy a burger with a third slice of bread in it's middle, then it is no wonder that we all crave the extra carbs from it. It is a quick fix, rather than a healthy alternative.
Although McDonald's boasts it's new healthy kid's menu, it maintains a regular supply of the salty, sugary, greasy quick fix items for everyone to satisfy that instant craving.
But if you read more about the scientific reasons for eating junk food, maybe you will take time to rethink your entire weekly shopping list and try to replace some of the junk food with foods that actually extend your life rather than take it from you.
Another article I found that puts a bit more light on this topic is listed below:
