Howard Beck reported the news on Wednesday the New York Knicks are likely to hire former Phoenix Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek to replace interim coach Kurt Rambis as the next basketball coach of the New York Knicks.
Hornacek was the head coach of the Phoenix Suns from 2013-2016. Hornacek has beaten out for the Knicks head coaching position former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach David Blatt and Rambis for the coaching position of the Knicks.
Rambis had replaced Derek Fisher as the head coach of the Knicks on February 8, 2016.
Hornacek had been offered an assistant coaching position with the Golden State Warriors this week before he accepted the head coaching job of the Knicks on Wednesday.

The Knicks are such a mess I don't know what coach can turn them around. Will Phil insist Hornacek employ the triangle offense?

According to the sources on Rotoworld Jeff will have to employ the triangle offense that Phil did during his coaching career.

@Deepizzaguy Ehen will Phil get over the triangle? It won't work. I give Hornacek a couple seasons and gone.

I wish him all the best but the Knicks have a history of dysfunction and I don't see that changing any time soon.

@Deepizzaguy I have a good friend who is a lifelong Knicks fan. I don't think his assessment is any kinder than ours.
