How do you get to know myLot?

As I am checking the "User Discussions", I wondered how do they get to know myLot?
Me? First, I saw a blog about the dead site Bubblews, then some people there migrated and keep on talking about myLot. I checked on it, signed up, then after few months started writing in here.
You? How do you find this paying site?

6 years ago, i think I was looking for some site that pays writers and I ended up being in mylot. But my first few days, I never expected anything or that I would even get paid. But then I met people and we enjoyed interacting. My very first mylot payment gave so much excitement.

@wiLLmaH yeah it was like that during my first few months. But now the money doesn't give me the same feeling anymore.

@wiLLmaH it was - they have actually stopped paying out now - the site is still up but no longer being run - they did give contributers lots of notice that they were winding down though, which was good of them. Shame it never worked better.

I was a member of Yahoo Answers and made several friends there. One day one of them mentioned a new site which was very similar to Yahoo Answers but actually paid you money for participating!
That was in October 2006 and I have been an active member here ever since, including the years (from 2013 to 2015) when the earnings program was discontinued. I was also a member of Bubblews during that time but still kept an eye on MyLot!

It was just such a long time ago that I don't exactly remember how I found it. I think that somebody suggested it when I was on another site.
