My daughter isn't going on her class trip today

My daughter is in 6th grade and this would have been her last class trip but she did not want to go. It is to a baseball hall of fame museum and an underground cave. She was worried where they are stopping for lunch there would be nothing she likes to eat. I let her skip the class trip and she is home with me for the day. We are going shopping for her party which is this Sunday. We are also going to have lunch at her favorite Chinese Buffet. I still have this terrible cold. I was taking my son to the bus stop this morning and my nose started bleeding really bad when I blew my constantly runny nose.

Are you ok? Why did your nose bleed? is it because of the weather?

I think my nose is just so irritated from blowing it that it started to bleed. When I get sinus issues it is very common for me to get a nosebleed or two each day until I am well again.

Why would she worry about food? She could have taken a sandwich with her, and just enjoy the simple meal.

I'm not sure if they are able to take food to eat since they are eating at a restaurant and outside food is usually not allowed in. She didn't think there was any vegeterian option for her.

@shaggin Yes, that will be very embarrassing if everyone sits inside, and she has to wait outside while eating her food. I think in future, you can ask the teacher for the phone number of the restaurant, and you can call to ask about the availability of vegetarian food.

My son didn't want to go on his class trip recently either. I thought he would enjoy it and so I made him go and I chaperoned. My daughter probably would have loved the cave tour. They had to be at the school ready to leave at 5am is one huge drawback. We will have a nice day out together it is supposed to be 73 degrees today.
