It may be that Target is wanting to be the next Walmart in that they are beginning to make more sense as far as making grocery shopping under the same roof as buying office supplies, clothing, movie DVD's, sporting equipment and a new CVS in store pharmacy like going to one stop to shop til you drop. If I decide to buy $50 dollars in groceries there I will still have to be very clever to not give in to their well displayed and abundant choices in their food section of the store. I have found that it is wise to eat a meal first before going into any store, including and not limited to, Target, Walmart, Kroger or Tom Thumb or Albertsons. These stores are all in heavy competition with one another. Sometimes I like to look for huge discounts like buy one-get-one-free and thus making it nearly impossible to buy $50 dollars all in one place but I will give it a try when next month comes around. I have seen many good things in Target stores that are excellent food choices so I may just go for it next week.

I'm sure Target felt the need to come up with something because their competitors are steadily moving up so they must stay competitive. They want to stay in business so they must attract new and current customers.

You are spot on with this comment about the strong competition.

I don't and won't shop at Target as I think they are way overpriced and what I have bought there in the past did not hold up so I stopped shopping there same as Walmart whose food I don't trust. Now Albertson's that would be a good place to shop and I have in the past but I haven't seen any of their stores up here.

Then what stores do you like to shop at that you can find real healthy food and at reasonably less expensive prices? Aldi is one that comes to my mind but you may not have such a store where you are. Dallas simply has a huge range of retail and it is almost like living inside a huge parking lot. lol

I agree. Its a no no to go grocery shopping while hungry. I also find Target to be a bit more expensive than other food stores or Walmart.

In many cases this is absolutely true. But I am frugal myself and I only look for the bargains. I like the layout of Target and besides it's my wife's favorite haunt. The most recent updated specials are listed at the following URL below:
